EUGENE, Ore. -- In the rankings, Oregon’s recruiting class isn’t anything too special. It’s ranked No. 32, the program's lowest ranking since ESPN began ranking recruiting classes outside of the top 25, 17 spots lower than last year.
But this class did exactly what it needed to do for the Ducks, filling needs and adding depth at quarterback and linebacker.
“I think we addressed those very well,” coach Mark Helfrich said. “Three quarterbacks of a couple different grades in school and at linebacker, one junior college guy and then kind of six hybrid guys. ... As those guys flesh out I think we’ll have a good depth situation at linebacker.
