Darian Hagan brings unique perspective to Colorado staff

On Friday, Colorado announced that former Buffs quarterback Darian Hagan would be its new running backs coach.

Hagan hadn't even given much thought to the open position until coach Mike MacIntyre called him into his office on Friday for a meeting.

"He said he's been watching me, watching how I prepare and how I work and my passion and all of that stuff, and he thought it was the best fit," Hagan told The Denver Post.

From a football perspective Hagan will obviously be an asset to the Colorado run game. He has more than 10 years of experience on the staff and is often considered one of the best -- if not the best -- all-around athletes to ever come through the Colorado football program.
