We continue our series looking at what several Pac-12 teams must do to catch reigning Pac-12 champion Stanford. Next up: Utah.
How they make the Pac-12 championship game: Win the South. Easy enough, right? While the South Division may have taken step backwards last season in terms of national reputation, it certainly didn’t bypass its cannibalistic cravings. The Utes, once the No. 3 team in the land, saw its title game chances go south by way of the South. All three of Utah’s losses came to South Division teams (USC, Arizona in 2OT and UCLA). Interestingly enough, they ran the table against North by topping three of four bowl teams.
