Cal offensive coordinator Beau Baldwin doesn't have a name for his offense.
When pressed to describe the offense he spent the last 12 years formulating at Eastern Washington and Central Washington, he refers to it in vague terms. The best he can come up with is: "very multiple."
But go to those that have been tasked with defending Baldwin's offense and it becomes clear that despite being unnamed, it's quite well known.
"Explosive and diverse," Washington State coach Mike Leach said.
"Unique," Washington co-defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake said.
And they would know.
They were two of the Pac-12 coaches that faced Baldwin's Eastern Washington teams over the past four years.
