Where is Basil!?
That’s the question sweeping Salt Lake City as Utah punter Tom Hackett, allegedly the victim of car theft, looks for his 1999 Subaru Outback. And yes, the irony of the Australian driving an Outback hasn’t been lost on local media covering the story.
Hackett, the 2014 Ray Guy winner for the nation’s top punter, told reporters that the car was missing as of 6:45 a.m. Monday when roommate and offensive lineman Isaac Asiata went outside and noticed Basil was gone.
“We were staring at each other trying to figure out where the bloody hell my car is,” Hackett said.
