Let’s do it:
- On Wednesday, it was announced that the IIHF was cancelling the Women’s World Ice Hockey Championships after the Province of Nova Scotia indicated the tournament could not go forward because of concerns over a rising number of COVID-19 cases in the province. The tournament was slated to run May 6th-16th in Halifax and Truro, and though the IIHF has promised to work with Hockey Canada to try to find a way to host the tournament this year it is unclear if that will go ahead.
