OTTAWA - BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Colin White expected to make an immediate impact in his pro debut, and that he did.
Ottawa’s top forward prospect earned an assist on the first goal of a game that would go downhill from there for the Binghamton Senators in a 6-1 loss to the Syracuse Crunch. White finished the night with a minus-2 rating but also, more importantly, high words of praise from both Binghamton coach Kurt Kleinendorst and Senators GM Pierre Dorion.
Those words were not the usual bafflegab. They were deserved.
“I guess if there was a guy you could pick out tonight up front, it would have been Colin,” said Kleinendorst.
