The Ottawa Senators could be bringing in a big player in their front office, Postmedia has learned.
The Senators are expected to announce at 11 a.m. the appointment of former Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment president and CEO Tom Anselmi to a front office role Wednesday. TSN’s Darren Dreger says he will be named president and CEO.
It’s not known how this decision affects president Cyril Leeder.
Anselmi, 60, spent 17 years with MLSE. His Linkedin profile indicates that with a background in construction so he could play a major role in helping the Senators get a new rink built as part of the massive project at LeBreton Flats.
