The Ottawa Senators have reduced their roster by three more today, as Max Lajoie, Mike Blunden and Max Reinhart have all been assigned to Belleville. The latter two have to clear waivers first, although it’s unlikely that either get claimed.
Lajoie on the other hand is a more interesting decision, as because of his age he’s eligible to play in either the CHL or AHL. Instead of sending him back to the Regina Pats for his fourth season of junior hockey, Lajoie will instead turn pro and use the first year of his entry-level contract.
