It’s been a little while since Tom Anselmi let the news slip in his first press conference with the Sens, but it’s now official - the Ottawa Senators and the Colorado Avalanche will play a pair of games in Stockholm, Sweden next season.
It will be Ottawa’s second trip to Sweden. The last was in 2008, when they opened the season against the Penguins in Stockholm. This will mark Erik Karlsson’s first time playing in Sweden as a NHL player - though that 2008 Sens trip included a game against the newly drafted Karlsson and Frolunda HC.
