Those were the words of Ottawa Senators GM Pierre Dorion yesterday, just one season after the team came within a double-overtime goal of the Stanley Cup Final. What once seemed like a promise of greatness probably felt more like a monumental fluke as reporters listened to Dorion's latest presser, their wounds as fresh as any other in Ottawa as Erik Karlsson began packing his bags for San Jose. A team captain, generational talent, and potentially top five player in the league is now a Shark, cast off from a team that the entire city of Ottawa wanted to see him lead into the future.
