The Ottawa Senators: 1992-2019

The Ottawa Senators, a NHL franchise, passed away early last week after a long battle with “Melnykitis”.

The Senators are survived by their owner/governor/chairman Eugene Melnyk, COO Nicolas Ruszkowski, CMO Aimee Deizel, GM Pierre Dorion, and AGM Peter MacTavish.

The team is also survived by their three alternate captains (Zack Smith, Mark Borowiecki, and Jean-Gabriel Pageau), as well as 14,435 fans who actually showed up to their games at the Canadian Tire Centre.

After returning to Ottawa in 1992, the Sens would find some moderate success during their first decade back. They made the playoffs six times in their first ten years back, and would qualify for 11 consecutive postseasons (1997-2008).
