OTTAWA - It’s waiting game between the Ottawa Senators and Colin White.
Right now, talks are at a standstill and if a deal is going to get done then it appears somebody will have to blink.
Since the Senators and White’s Boston-based agent Kent Hughes didn’t seem inclined to do that Wednesday afternoon, the 20-year-old Ottawa prospect will have to wait to start his pro hockey career.
The Senators know White, the No. 21 pick in 2015, doesn’t want to return to Boston College but they don’t want to burn a year on his contract just to have him suit up for one game so they’re hoping he’ll accept an amateur tryout and report to the club’s AHL affiliate in Binghamton.
