Subban won't be suspended for Stone slash: NHL [Photos] [Video]

MONTREAL - P.K. Subban will be back for Game 2 -- much to the dismay of the Senators and their faithful fans.

The NHL department of player safety has decided the Montreal Canadiens blueliner won’t get any further discipline for his vicious slash on Ottawa winger Mark Stone in the club’s 4-3 loss to the Habs in Game 1 Wednesday night at the Bell Centre.

Subban was given a five-minute major and thrown out of the game. The league has decided that penalty will suffice. That won’t make the Senators happy and the possibility of retribution in Game 2 Friday is looming.
