For the second straight game, Jean Beliveau's widow, Elise, sat in the Bell Centre stands wearing P.K. Subban's jersey No. 76.
This time, Subban actually finished the game, named the first star of Friday night's 3-2 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators.
Standing at centre ice, with P.K. chants raining down, the Canadiens defenceman, whose second-period rocket from the point gave Montreal a 2-1 lead, later thanked the widow of one of the NHL's all-time greats.
"She inspires everyone," said Subban.
"She's a class act. Jean Beliveau's one of my heroes. Every time I see her in the stands, especially when she wears my jersey, it's flattering.
