The message from coach Dave Cameron to those struggling to score goals on the Senators wasn't very subtle and didn't go unnoticed.
Work harder, work smarter and get your nose dirty.
A quick look at the statistics Sunday indicates of the 19 goals the Senators have scored in their first six regular season games, nearly half (nine) have come from the trio of Kyle Turris (4), Mark Stone (2) and Mike Hoffman (3) which is great for them but also indicates the club is living dangerously.
"You've got to get to the dirty areas," said Cameron following the club's 4-3 shootout loss to the Nashville Predators Saturday night at the Canadian Tire Centre.
