Colin Greening has a big one-way contract but that won't stop him from getting a ticket to the minors.
The Senators decided they needed to put a stop to this once-and-for-all and put the 29-year-old underachieving winger -- who has a cap hit of $2.65 million per-season for the next two years -- on waivers at noon Friday and if he clears he'll be sent to the club's AHL affiliate in Binghamton.
And, yes, he will clear.
"Nobody is touching that deal," said a league executive Friday afternoon.
Senators GM Bryan Murray doesn't expect anybody will either.
