Sens' Hammond likely out with twisted ankle

CHICAGO -- It looks like Andrew Hammond is back on the shelf.

The Senators goaltender, who left Sunday’s 6-2 victory over the New York Islanders in Brooklyn with a twisted ankle, may not be able to back up Tuesday night against the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center.

While the Senators won’t know until he tests it during the team skate at 12:30 p.m. EST, the club has recalled Matt O’Connor from its AHL affiliate in Binghamton on an emergency basis.

Mike Condon is expected to make the start against the Hawks with Craig Anderson away on personal leave and no timetable for his return.
