LONDON, Ont. -- Frosh week is over.
The Senators closed out the four-team rookie tournament at Budweiser Gardens with a 2-1 record after a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday, with help from a 47-save performance from goalie Matt O'Connor, along with a two-goal effort by 2014 draft pick Francis Perron.
With main camp slated to start with medicals on Thursday at the Canadian Tire Centre, the 23 rookies who made the six-hour trek here boarded the bus for home after the game, but many will be on hand when the Senators hit the ice for the first time on Friday after having a good performance here.
