Sens go to school at practice

It wasn't just another ho-hum practice day for the Senators.

As they took the ice at the CIH Academy in Rockland Monday, they were greeted by 1,700 (mostly) screaming school-aged children from the area who had a chance to get out of class and go get a peak at the Senators as part of their community outreach program.

The coaching staff, the players and, of course, the kids enjoyed it. Not only did they cheer loudly, they also tried to get the wave going several times.

"It was loud," said coach Dave Cameron with a smile.
