DETROIT - A small step in the right direction.
The Senators know they didn't solve all their problems with a 5-4 shootout victory over the Calgary Flames Wednesday night at home but they were in a much better mood as they headed for the Motor City.
As the Senators hit the ice Thursday morning, coach Dave Cameron told the players he was going to keep this short. They were only on the ice for 26 minutes in the midst of this stretch which will see them play three games in four days -- including this back-to-back series with Detroit Red Wings.
