With players like Christian Wolanin, Jonny Tychonick, Jacob Bernard-Docker, Shane Pinto, and Max Veronneau, the Ottawa Senators are demonstrating a faith in college hockey.
The team announced, tonight, that they’ve sent forward Jack Rodewald to the Florida Panthers, in exchange for the rights to Chris Wilkie.
Drafted by the Panthers with their sixth-round pick (126th overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Wilkie spent two seasons at the University of North Dakota. He tallied 19 points in 62 games. Wilkie then transferred to Colorado College, and after sitting out the 2017-2018 season, he has caught fire.
