Senators Swap Picks with Rangers, Add 48th Overall

Breathe, Ottawa, breathe.

It’s not Erik Karlsson just yet.

The Ottawa Senators have traded the 22nd overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft to the New York Rangers. In return, Ottawa receives the 26th and 48th overall selections in the draft.

This addresses an immediate need for the Senators, as they didn’t have another pick until Round 4 until this trade was made.

The Rangers used the pick to select defenceman K’Andre Miller.

One has to wonder who Pierre Dorion and Co. will take at number 26. Speculation has included Jonatan Berggren or Ottawa native Serron Noel.
