If the Ottawa Senators adopt the heritage “O” as their main logo, the move will receive a thumbs-up from Zack Smith.
“I’ve always liked it,” Smith said. “I think it’s a cool design and colour scheme. I enjoy those jerseys. I think they’re pretty well received, too, aren’t they?”
That, indeed, is the big question.
In a Postmedia story Monday, Senators president and CEO Tom Anselmi said the organization is listening to those who want a change from the Roman soldier logo. At the same time, the franchise won’t make a brand change without plenty of consideration.
