The Senators announced the signing of a three year extension with goaltender Mike Condon today. The deal carries a cap hit of $2.4 million, and a back-loaded salary structure. He will make $1.7M in year one, $2.5M in year two, and will be up to low-end starter money at $3M in year three.
Condon played 40 regular season games for Ottawa this season, posting a .914 sv% and a goals against of 2.48 when you include his one game for Pittsburgh. Of goalies that played in more than 12 games (15% of the season), that ranks 31st out of 62 on save percentage and 22nd for goals against.
