There will be no shortage of Senators’ prospects digging for gold at the world junior championships.
As the holiday season shifts into high gear with the annual tourney getting under way Monday at the Bell Centre in Montreal and the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Senators GM Pierre Dorion, assistant GM Randy Lee and the rest of the staff will keeping a keen eye on the four prospects competing.
While defenceman Thomas Chabot leads the way as an alternate captain for Team Canada, he won’t be the only one playing for his country. Forward Colin White is alternate for Team USA while winger Filip Ahl will suit up for Sweden and forward Filip Chlapik is with the Czech Republic.
