Thomas Chabot has a chance to suit up for his country.
The Senators' prospect defenceman, chosen No. 18 overall last spring, has at least put himself on the radar for the world junior championships after he was named to the 30-man roster Tuesday. Chabot, along with Ottawa 67's captain Travis Konecny will attend Team Canada's camp from Dec. 10-to-14 at the Mastercard Centre in Etobicoke.
Chabot, 18, who's playing big minutes for the QMJHL's Saint John Sea Dogs after having a solid camp with Ottawa, may be in tough to make the roster but at least he's going to get consideration.
