Senators pick up rare victory in Chicago

CHICAGO — It’s no longer Chicago hopeless for the Senators.

The Senators skated into the United Center on Tuesday night to wrap up this two-game road trip and, for the first time in 15 years, picked up a victory in the Windy City with a 4-3 decision over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Bobby Ryan and Kyle Turris had two-point efforts while Dion Phaneuf, Tom Pyatt and Derick Brassard also did the scoring as the Senators snapped a seven-game losing streak in Chicago that dated back to March 28, 2001.

Goaltender Mike Condon, looking forward to facing his old friend Scott Darling in the Hawks net, made 23 stops for the club’s third straight win as Richard Panik, Tyler Motte and Artemi Panarin scored for Chicago.
