BOSTON - The Ottawa Senators better get rested and ready.
After eliminating the Boston Bruins from the NHL playoffs with a first-round 4-2 series victory Sunday at the TD Garden, the Senators must now prepare for the challenge of facing the New York Rangers in a series that will likely start at the Canadian Tire Centre with Game 1 on Thursday night.
Yes, the Senators can enjoy their victory over the Bruins and the fact they’re making a trip to Round 2 for the first time since 2013 when they sent the Montreal Canadiens packing, but then they’ve got to be prepared for a playoff series against the Rangers for the first time since they lost in Round 1 in Game 7 in 2012.
