Senators' Neil scratched in favour of Wingels

OTTAWA — - Guy Boucher made a tough lineup decision on Thursday, and one that certainly would not have disappointed the Calgary Flames.

To get newcomer Tommy Wingels in, the Senators coach made Chris Neil a healthy scratch. With Mark Borowiecki already sidelined, the move gave the Senators their softest possible lineup.

Borowiecki continues to have a substantial league lead in hits, while Neil, with limited ice time, still sits fourth on the team in the category.

Borowiecki and Neil also have six fighting majors, while nobody else on the team has more than one.

Scratching Neil also meant sitting an assistant captain who only weeks ago was celebrated for playing his 1000th game.
