Senators' Kyle Turris makes save of the day to bail out Craig Anderson

OTTAWA -

Five years and 11 days earlier, Kyle Turris scored one of the biggest goals of his life, an overtime winner at the Canadian Tire Centre that evened the Senators-Rangers first-round series at two games each.

On Saturday, against the same team at the same venue, Turris made the biggest overtime save of his career.

“I think it probably was, yeah,” said the Senators centre, losing a battle to contain his grin. “It was a close call.”

Most definitely.

Another one in what’s become a series of Craig Anderson Misadventures behind his own net saw the Senators goalie get stripped of the puck by Rick Nash, perhaps the Rangers’ most dangerous scorer.
