DALLAS — What a difference quality goaltending makes.
On a night when Ottawa Senators netminder Craig Anderson tied Patrick Lalime’s franchise record with 146 wins, the Senators extended their winning streak to four games with a 5-2 win over the Dallas Stars.
Anderson made 35 saves, while Chris Wideman, Fredrik Claesson — his first career goal — Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Viktor Stalberg and Cody Ceci provided the offence.
The Stars’ goals came from Tyler Seguin and former Senators captain Jason Spezza.
Anderson was especially sharp keeping the game scoreless in the opening minutes of the game and late in the second period when the Stars pushed hard in an attempt to narrow the gap to 3-2.
