Senators' Karlsson playing like Norris Trophy winner ... Has strengths -- and weaknesses -- of elite player ... Neil makes nifty save ... Marchand gets off easy

Erik Karlsson is rediscovering his Norris Trophy winning form.

It's been some time since he's been beaten easily by an oncoming forward. Less and less he is giving the puck away at inopportune times. And all the while he continues to lead the NHL in ice time and all league blue liners in scoring.

Karlsson had an all-round great shift in the first period against the Bruins Saturday night. First he blocked a shot by Colin Miller, directing the puck to Milan Michalek. Then he tore up ice to take a pass from Michalek, and in turn set up Mika Zibanejad for the game's first goal.
