Mike Hoffman is ready to move on and get ready for training camp.
Coming off what is being called "a loss" in most circles after being awarded a one-year, $2 million contract by an independent arbitrator Monday, the Senators' winger noted in a conference call with reporters Tuesday he's ready to move on and is focused squarely on having another strong season in Ottawa.
A league executive told the Sun on the weekend he felt Hoffman could expect a $2.6-to-$2.7 million award in the arbitration process and that if that was the case both sides should be pleased with the outcome.
