The Senators will be trying to stop Alex Ovechkin from becoming the 44th player in NHL history to score 500 goals when they take on Washington Sunday night at Verizon Center.
But they also know offence won't be the primary focus of the Capitals captain and his teammates.
"The last game we played against Washington, you saw how much of a defence-first team they've turned into," said goalie Andrew Hammond, who is expected to get the start in the second of back-to-back games for the Senators. "Obviously, (goalie Braden) Holtby has been playing really well for them, but I think the system they play these days is a lot different than the run-and-gun they used to play.
