Not much gets written or said about Milan Michalek in the media, but his name gets prominent mention in team meetings.
"Michalek is a coach's delight, in that he's the consummate pro," head coach Dave Cameron stated about the Senators second oldest current roster player Wednesday morning. "He does everything right. He's an example I tell all the young guys to look at, on and off the ice."
There was a concern that Michalek would be unable to play against the Flames after he was hit in the arm by a shot in practice Tuesday, but the 30-year-old Czech shrugged off the injury.
