Condon, who has re-established himself as the Ottawa Senators invaluable backup goaltender with games against Tampa Tuesday and Chicago Thursday, will also take centre stage for a vital home-and-away series against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday and Sunday.
While No. 1 goaltender Craig Anderson took shots with the club’s spares and injured players Thursday morning as part of his recovery from a lower-body injury, coach Guy Boucher says the earliest he could start again would be next week.
“It’s getting better,” Boucher said. “We’re hoping by next Tuesday against Boston.
