Usually all business on game days, coach Dave Cameron did provide one humorous quip when a Montreal reporter asked him prior to Sunday's home opener if the Senators had any film on Mike Condon, the Habs goalie who was about to make his first NHL start.
"Yeah," said Cameron. "I think it's his first communion. I think he was doing his first communion."
Yet a couple of hours later, the Senators had little in the way of offerings for Condon.
While the Habs gained a 2-0 first period lead by firing 15 pucks from anywhere and everywhere at Matt O'Connor as he made his pro debut at the other end, the Senators tested Condon just six times before the intermission.
