Zack Smith already has the second best playoff beard among Senators, but until now he has yet to wear it on his game face.
That changes Wednesday, when Smith will come into the lineup at his familiar centre position while veteran David Legwand goes out as a healthy scratch.
Legwand, who may have played his last game as a Senator, was minus-3 and had just one shot on goal in the first three games of the series against the Montreal Canadiens.
"I think the biggest thing is he's going to give us a little more speed," coach Dave Cameron said of Smith.
