OTTAWA — On the eve of the Ottawa Senators’ return to the post-season, Guy Boucher got ready to shuffle his deck.
Senators GM Pierre Dorion went shopping at the March 1 trade deadline to give the club’s head coach options and Boucher has lots of them as Ottawa prepares to open its series against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night at the Canadian Tire Centre.
The Senators had a full compliment of players on the ice at the Bell Sensplex which meant there were 16 forwards, nine defencemen and three goaltenders. With captain Erik Karlsson and forward Zack Smith set to return along with Marc Methot closing in on a comeback, Boucher will have difficult roster decisions to make.
