The Hamburglar will get a chance to save the day for the Senators.
Less than 24 hours after an ugly 6-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils Thursday night, the Senators return home for the first time in nearly two weeks to face the New York Islanders to open a three-game homestand with Andrew Hammond in the net.
While coach Dave Cameron is considering putting Binghamton callup Matt Puempel in the lineup up front, there won’t be any changes on the blueline. Meanwhile, centre Kyle Turris will miss his second straight game with an undisclosed injury and defenceman Marc Methot remains out.
