Senators' Anderson rose to occasion in Game 7

WASHINGTON — Interesting the way things work out sometimes, isn’t it?

How about the guy whose questionable puck-handling skills were such a big issue earlier in the post-season starting the rush that led to the winning goal in the Senators elimination of the New York Rangers?

Not that Craig Anderson really had to do anything other than hand-off to Erik Karlsson. Filip Kuba made lots of money with that slick move.

“Well, I could have froze it,” Anderson said with a grin in the visitors room at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. “Then the play is dead.
