Every time Diontae Spencer checks his cellphone, there’s another text message or two from a former Toronto Argonaut teammate reminding the Ottawa Redblacks newest offensive sensation of just who is coming to TD Place this weekend.
“A lot of smack talk,” said Spencer, Wednesday. He was more than ready to face his former club for the first time Saturday night after his jaw-dropping 351 all-purpose yards last week in Calgary, 96 of them on a punt return for a touchdown where no Stampeder even laid a hand on him as he found a seam and then clear-sailing along the sideline.
