MONTREAL — The Senators have a decision to make on Boston College prospect Colin White. But they aren’t going to rush him to the NHL.
The 20-year-old centre, who was a standout for Team USA at the 2017 world junior championship, was officially eliminated from the NCAA playoffs Saturday night when his BC Eagles were knocked out by Umass Lowell via a 4-3 loss.
The indications are White would like to turn pro this spring.
However, the Senators, coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to the Montreal Canadiens Saturday night at home, aren’t convinced there’d be a spot for him on the roster at the moment after acquiring Alex Burrows and Viktor Stalberg at the deadline.
