OTTAWA — Not long after the cameras had left the Canadian Tire Centre on Wednesday afternoon, Tom Anselmi retreated to the club’s office space on the other side of the building and got down to work.
The newly appointed president and CEO of the Senators will have no shortage of work to keep him busy in his new role. On Thursday night at the Canadian Tire Centre, he gets a first-hand look at the product on the ice as the Senators close out this homestand against the Calgary Flames.
On Friday morning, he accompanies owner Eugene Melnyk to the NHL’s all-star weekend in Los Angeles, where both will attend the board of governors meetings to get updates on the business of the league.
