VANCOUVER - A complete day off here for the Ottawa Senators Wednesday was a welcome break for the club’s countless B.C. boys.
Centres Kyle Turris and Curtis Lazar, along with defenceman Patrick Wiercioch and goaltender Andrew Hammond, all hail from the Vancouver area. They took full advantage of the day to catch up with relatives.
“Just relaxing at home,” said Turris. “It was great to spend the day with my mom and dad. I’m lucky. I’ve got lots of great friends who are like a second family. They came over for dinner. It was a really nice night.
