The weekend as a whole was better than most for the Ottawa Senators with one out of two games resulting in a victory. However, the weekend ended in disappointment as many nights seem to for the Ottawa Senators these days.
Philadelphia
In their victory over the Flyers, the Sens very nearly blew their chance for a rare win. They got out to a strong start and led the game 2-0 after one period. Then after an even second period they led 3-1. Unfortunately, the Sens fell apart in the third to allow the game to be tied at three.
