With the signing of centre Tom Pyatt on Tuesday, the Senators’ Swiss makeover continues.
Well, maybe that’s a stretch, but clearly new coach Guy Boucher saw something in Pyatt while both were in Switzerland for the past two seasons.
Pyatt, a 29-year-old multi-purpose forward, has scored 27 goals and 27 assists in 245 NHL games with Tampa and Montreal.
He played for Boucher in Tampa in 2011-12 and 2012-13, as well as in Hamilton of the American Hockey League in 2009-10.
Pyatt scored a combined 22 goals and 40 assists in his past two seasons with Geneva.
