It’s for more than his achievements in hockey that Bryan Murray will become the first member of the Senators’ “Ring of Honour” at Canadian Tire Centre prior to the Jan. 24 game against the Washington Capitals, the team with which he started his NHL coaching career in 1981.
Just as it’s for more just his achievements in the game that Murray should also be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
“His commitment and work off the ice, throughout his career, has been remarkable,” said Murray Costello, the former head of Hockey Canada and a Hall of Famer in the builder’s category himself.
