SUNRISE, FLA. - The Senators won’t be the only game in town this weekend in Ottawa.
It’s going to be a busy weekend for local sports fans.
Not only is the Battle of Ontario against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday at the Canadian Tire Centre, the Canadian Women’s Hockey League will hold the Clarkson Cup championship in Kanata on Sunday and across town the Brier, the Canadian men’s curling championship, will wrap up at TD Place.
Since curling is one of the other games played on ice, it wasn’t hard to find at least two fans in the Senators dressing room, I just turned to a couple of kids from western Canada to see what their level of interest in the game was and, sure enough, they both have some affection for the sport.
